Duties and Responsibilities
Histology specialists
prepare tissue samples that are used by physicians to determine if a patient
has a disease, dysfunction, or malignancy. They prepare samples by using
equipment to thinly slice tissue samples. Then they view the tissue sample
under a microscope. In order to view specific structures they’ll stain the sample
with different chemicals. Histology specialist work in hospitals, pharmacies,
or research laboratories.
Salary $30,000- $50,000
Educational Requirements
In order to
become a histology specialist you must have a high school degree. You must also
get an associate’s degree and complete one year of internship.

want to be a histology specialist because it seems boring. This job doesn’t interest
