Speech-language pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, and
help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Speech,
language, and swallowing disorders result from a variety of causes, such as a
stroke, brain injury, hearing loss, development delay, a cleft palate, cerebral
palsy, or emotional problems.

Educational
Requirements
In order to become a speech pathologist you need a high
school diploma or GED certificate. Many speech pathologists have a master’s
degree. Then they must pass licensing.

I wouldn’t want to be a speech pathologist because it doesn’t
