Education
You must have a high school diploma and complete EMT training. EMT training takes about 2-6 months.
There are three different levels of an Emergency medical technician. Each level has its own training. To become a basic EMT you must have a high school degree and finish EMT training. In order to become an Intermediate EMT you must complete 200- 400 EMT training hours. To become the most qualified level of an EMT (also known as a paramedic) you must complete over 1,000 or more hours of training.

Do you think you would like to be an EMT?
wouldn't want to be an EMT because it seems to stressful. I wouldn't be able to work in a job where one mistake could mean one death.
