Clinical
Laboratory Specialists perform laboratory work to identify, diagnose, and treat
disease. Clinical laboratory technicians use microscopes, laboratory equipment,
chemicals and computers to perform laboratory procedures. They also collect
blood specimens and prepare culture media.
Average Salary: $20,000- $28,000 (Clinical
laboratory)
$25,000- $40,000
(Clinical Technologists)
Educational Requirements
Students
should take the most challenging high school courses in, science, math, and English.
In order to become a clinical laboratory technician you need to have an associate’s
degree and complete specialized in house training. In order to become a
clinical technologist you need a bachelor’s degree. Some employers may accept
an associate’s degree too.

I wouldn't want
to be a clinical laboratory specialist. I wouldn't want to be one because this
job/career doesn’t interest me.
