Duties and Responsibilities
Occupational
therapists help patients who are mentally, emotionally, or physically disabled.
They help them by helping them regain the ability to perform everyday tasks.
They work in a team and observe, help, and monitor a patient’s progress. They
may design special equipment to help a patient with their therapy. But most of
all they teach patients how to adjust their life according to their disability.
Average Salary: $26,000-$45,000
Educational Requirements
In order to
become an occupational therapists you take the most challenging high school
courses in math, science, and English. You need bachelors or a master’s degree
and clinical experience to become certified.
Would you like to be one?
I wouldn’t like
to be an occupational therapist. It’s not the type of work that I’ll be looking
for.
