Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities
Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for glasses. They may also perform eye surgery, only if necessary though. They may work in their own private practice or in clinics.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational Requirements
Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. They must complete medical school and an internship, and then they’ll be able to participate in a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. Once they complete their residency they must pass an examination to be certified.

Would you like to be one?
I might consider this career of an ophthalmologist in the future. It interest me and it has a great pay.
