I think this
quote means that no matter whether you win or lose the important thing is that
you played hard, fair and honorably. Good sportsmanship is an important trait
to have when playing a sport or game. You could win/lose countless of times and
you won’t feel better each time, but good sportsmanship will make you feel
better each time.
